I use to get take-out at CountryCookinAtLakeside. The last time I went I purchased a turkey dinner. it was deli turkey, not a roasted turkey. I threw it out. I have not been back since.

I agree with the above post giving props to the Soda Shoppe in downtown Laconia.

It's a good place to get off the tourist path and hang with the locals.

We've only had breakfast there, but it's always been good, and reasonably priced.

I always ask before ordering turkey anything (hot sandwich, club, etc.) if they use sliced roast turkey or “lunch meat” turkey....if it’s lunch meat, I order something else.
