APS, it's interesting that it says Wolfeboro when it was really in Tuftonboro. Maybe because of the other store which is now Dive Winnipesaukee which IS in Wolfeboro. In 1961 I think the store was downtown, don't you? I don't remember what year it opened.

There was at least one boat purchase at Winnipesaukee Motor Craft Co. in 1955. I checked my stock of vintage Wolfeboro pictures, and don't show that side of town (Dive Winnipesaukee) very well. The Wolfeboro Gallery (here) "Error 500 HTTP can't display the page". ![]() However, I've found a reference to 1973 here. ...and to a 1955 purchase of a Penn Yan Captivator here: >

Glenna was Jill's real name. ( Jack's wife) Tuftonboro 03894? Interesting. If I had to guess, I would say the downtown store was there from the late 50s early 60s until late 70s, early 80s? Gordon (Lefty) Harris ran the store downtown. The condos were built around 1984.

I bought one of their Rental Boats --a 14 Foot Mirrowcraft which I still have and use every year. Bought at the Auction. Kerk
