I 100% support them asking for proof of service. I get it it's annoying but it should absolutely be verified so people like me (non veterans) do not exploit this and use it for their own personal gain. Yeah, sadly we do live in a world where people do that often.

My Lowe's cards show I'm a veteran when I swipe it. It automatically takes the 10% off. It does not take it off for certain sales items.

My NH drivers License also indicates veteran status
