Alton Accident

We were in the bay around 11am and there was lots of police, fire and ambulance activity by the Mt Washington dock. Suspect a driver got distracted by the ship coming in for her first trip to the Bay this year. Just hoping that no one was seriously injured. Ambulances from Gilmanton, Farmington and Gilford were there along with the Alton Fire Dept. Scary.

Thanks. Good to know no injuries were life threatening. Sad that there were six people in rose two cars. Wow.

There were some pretty serious injuries from this crash. Does anyone know if there are center line rumble strips in this area? I know the Town of Alton is currently discussing rumble strips, maybe not for this area, but I cannot help but wonder if the strip would have helped prevent this crash.

Yes, likely would have helped especially if the driver was texting! A very large problem nationwide....
