Default The NH Wave

Don't worry. After a few hundred black fly bytes, your body gets used to the venom. Do the NH wave. Flap your hands in the air. And, Skin-so-soft works pretty good as a repellant.

Default Another repellant

Believe it or not (No, not Robert Ripley here), Downey Fabric Softner or Dryer sheets work well against black flies. Sounds crazy, but it does work.

Thumbs up

You must have forgotten as they aren't any worse than any other year. The darn things are built into the beauty of the country side. If you want nice things one needs to take the biting part also.
