I drove by 20 Mile Bay this afternoon and there was a line of bouys from one end of the road way to the other end. They were about 100 ft out into the water, and was just curious what they were for? Thanks !

I believe the area you see is a public swimming area for Tuftonboro. There is not really a beach and many past years I have seen people sunbathing right alongside the road there. Asking for an accident, especially cute girls in bikinis

Yep, it's a designated swimming area. These days, you'll often see a bunch of boats anchored there on weekends. And, yes, you can also take your life into your hands and set up on the narrow stretch of beach there. But it's a nice sandy bottom on the eastern side of the bay.
