Default coming in hot

She has a friendly wind on the dock and should also have some port rudder and thrust astern. Until she makes contact withe the dock and gets a spring line to the dock. Then switch her thrust to slow ahead with full port rudder to hold her on the dock. Care is needed since her wheels were not independent - single cylinder and crank - wheels always working together. That's why she had the big center rudder. For example, if one wished to hold her starboard side against the dock, the engine would be set ahead slow and the rudder full port. The starboard ahead would naturally hold her on. The port wheel would tend to move her off the dock, so the rudder would have to be full port to deflect the thrust of the port wheel.
