My wife and I love to golf too. We were in Florida at the start of this whole disaster (we've been back a few weeks and have followed all the protocols requested/required). Prior to the stay at home orders in Florida we were able to get in 2 or 3 rounds. This is what one (and we heard others) course did:
- We loaded and unloaded our own bags - One person per cart unless you were related (husband and wife) - They tried to only send out 2 somes - They disinfected carts but I wiped it down again (at least the steering wheel and seats and roof support bars where you tend to grab) - no rakes in sand traps - They cut 6-8" pieces of pool noodles and put in the cup and dropped the flag through the opening in the noodle . Your ball would go in the cup but not drop down so you didn't have to touch anything when retrieving the ball after your (1) putt - No beverage cart (no big deal we brought water etc) and no 19th hole NH courses could implement these rules and I think we would be fine. The only time I thought there was some risk was going in the golf shop to pay but that could be solved by paying over the phone when you make tee time Just my 2 cents. We want to play too |
