Garmin GPSMAP 178/178C Questions

Anyone have one of these currently on their boat that can answer a few operational questions?

I have a 276C that has the same set of control buttons, so might be able to help. I don't have the sounder set up however.

What do you need to know? That unit was circa 2007.
