Lost mahogany stern pole with flag
Lost Sunday night some where in an area of east of Cow island to the Barbers Pole side of Pick Point.

I think it may have floated for some time but not really sure. Kind of a long shot but worth the try.

It may float longer, farther than you'd imagine. Last year, I lost my burgee, mahogany pole. It drifted to a beach south of Belknap Point. The finder called the local flag manufacturer who identified the club. From there to the club website and a message to the Commodore who sent out an "all members" email, and I went and retrieved the burgee and pole. It took several days, I imagine the flag itself acted as a sea anchor preventing quick drift.
Good luck. Some mahogany poles are hard to replace. (Did you post on "I Boat on Lake Winnipesaukee" FB site?) |
