Suggestions for a battery 'triple charge' unit

Can this battery tender be used, attached for several months, In my case this could possibly be for 3-4 months...... I believe the 'Float Mode' option allows for long term storage, without overcharging....... My concern would be for failure, which may cause a fire potential.

I ask the same question to the Forum community as well......
