Meredith Open Mic Nights 2021

Due to pre-emption by the Make-A-Wish event we are unable to have the regular open mic in Hesky Park on Friday, 7/23. We will resume open mics on Friday July 30th and every Friday thereafter till Sept 3rd. Music starts at 6PM and performer sign up is between 5:30 and 6..

We regret any inconvenience this may cause. These open mics have been very popular so far. We have had between 12 and 16 talented performers at each show and audiences ranging from 30 to 70 people.

Classic rock, blues, and other acoustic covers ok for something like this and can I get there from the town docks? We're on vacation on the lake in a few weeks and I'd love to come down and do a few tunes!

Just looked it up didnt realize Hesky Park was at the docks!

Yes, it's at the town docks. Any music that is appropriate for a family atmosphere is welcome. Plan on 2 songs and perhaps a third.

Kitty has scheduled sunny warm weather for this afternoon and evening so we will have our open mic at Hesky Park (near the town docks) in Meredith today. We are expecting an all-star line up of talented performers and still have time for a few more.

Music begins at 6 and performer sign-up is from 5:30 to 6.

Bring your lawn chair or blanket, relax and enjoy. There is no fee.

What a terrific show last night. There were 15 talented performers and a large, enthusiastic audience, perhaps as many as 75 people.

We had the premier performance of the Summer Strummers, a 10 piece Ukelele band who played 4 songs and were truly excellent-- a special thanks to these folks. They promise a reprise on Friday August 6.

Next open mic is Friday at 6-- join us if you would like to see live music by talented local performers.

Pleased to say that Kitty has once again scheduled warm and sunny weather for our open mike concert Friday at Hesky Park, near the town docks. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, snacks & drinks and listen to these talented local musicians. There is no fee.

We are hoping for a repeat performance by the Summer Strummers 10pc Ukelele orchestra in addition to our usual array of excellent musicians.

Yes, Kitty has ordered warm sunny weather for Friday evening and also a supplemental cool lakeside breeze, so the open mike at Hesky Park (near town docks) is the best place to be this Friday evening.

We had a great show last week, with 11 very talented performers, and expect an even better show this week.

I tried hard to be there, but unfortunately trying to coordinate 11 kids and 14 adults to do anything while on vacation is extremely difficult

This may be the best place in the lakes region to hear music, perhaps the most picturesque and at no charge certainly the least expensive. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, beverage & snack and enjoy.

What a fast summer! This Friday, 9/3, is the last of our open mic concerts at Hesky Park/town docks this year.

We had a great show last week with 11 performers including the Summah Stummahs 10pc Uke band and a large and enthusiastic audience.

This Friday's show will include a smaller version of the Summah Strummahs and a nice variety of talented local performers.

Please join us, whether to listen or to play. Music will start at 6 and performer sign-up is from 5:30 to 6.

Kitty has scheduled another wonderful lakeside weather evening. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, something to eat and drink. There is no charge.

Our last open mic concert on Sept 3rd was a big success-- we had 14 musician performers and an enthusiastic audience of approximately 50. Our goal was to bring live music to the public in this beautiful lakeside setting and to provide a venue for local talented musicians to perform. We believe that we succeeded.

Special thanks to all of the musicians who performed over the 12 concerts this summer. Kitty and I also are grateful to the donors who provided the funds for the premium Bose PA system and accessories that have been donated to the Meredith Recreation Department. And of course thanks to the wonderful audiences we had.

We plan to begin next summer on Friday June 10th at 6 PM. All are invited, and we look forward to seeing you there.
