| Christmas cards needed

I need a box of Christmas cards. Walmart in Tilton had exactly one (ugly) box. Kohl's none. Where can I get some of decent quality? (You know what happens when you have a ton of perfectly good Christmas cards left from past years but ONE person on your list has already received all of them.) |

 | More possible sources

Gift & craft shops usually have them. In Wolfeboro, these come to mind but, in view of the covid situation, I'd call first instead of doing in-person scouting — the staff in all of these shops know their stock. Some of them carry cards by journalist Elisse Paquette, who does lovely nature photography and who may have some Christmas-y ones. https://blacksgiftsnh.com/ https://www.gabriolabakery.com/gifts https://butternutsgooddishes.com/ https://www.thecountrybookseller.com/ |

We've sent the same cards a few times because, well, we're cheap, and I always thought it mattered more what we wrote than the vessel the greeting came in. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

 | Be a Yankee

Each year, you have a few extras, right? Put them together in a mixture, box them and use as your Yankee Swap gift. Then watch to see if somebody unsuspecting sends one to you next year. Our group has been bringing the same fruit cake to Yankee Swap for probably 25 years. Always a highlight to see who gets it each year. Ya gotta love tradition.

 | Fruit cake Quote:
We have good friends that we have over for dinner or we go there for dinner from time to time. Since neither one of us can go empty handed we were joking about just bringing the same thing as a “gift” that wouldn’t get eaten or drank. I suggested fruit cake. He said he likes fruit cake and would eat it. We now just bring a bottle of 43 back and forth, but the label says Green Turtle Soup. We’ve been doing it for years.

 | $1.25 pack of 14 Xmas Cards

Went to the Dollar Store yesterday and bought 14 Count Package of Xmas Cards much to my surprise for only $1.25. A real steal in my opinion. At that price I went back in and bought a bunch more with various images to use in 2022 and 2023. I'm surprised that FLL hasn't been there yet to pick up his own....... |
