My neighbor and builder snapped these pictures of a moose on our building site on Long Island. These were taken on Aug. 2, but the moose has been seen several times since. Apparently he's growing a new rack these days, but its not apparent in these pictures. I'm not sure if he actually lives on the island or was just "visiting". This is my first attempt to attach pictures.......I hope they show up!

That's a big moose! We saw one on Route 171 in Moultonborough a few weeks ago. I think we were more surprised to see him than he was to see us. Last edited by party.of.five; 08-27-2006 at 12:13 AM. |

Seems to me that bears should be the only "pets" allowed on Bear Island, and that them their mooses belong on moose Island.

My father in law made the news a few years back as he encountered a moose on the loose while driving. Now we have heard of reports of moose swiming in the lake, But have you ever seen a pig swim?

Great pics of the wildlife. Now "Mee" is going to be bugging me to swing by Long I every time we're out so as to try to "catch" a moose on the loose.
