Carb may have some varnish from evaporated residue causing the float/needle mechanism to stick. Removing the carb and cleaning it should do the trick.

John.... come to think of it, before I added new fuel I looked in the tank and did see varnish type residue on walls of the tank.Will remove the carb, and maybe soak in a bath of cleaner solvent such as Seafoam as thinkxingu recommended. Will report back with results..... |
