McDude:
As mentioned in my previous posting in this thread, I use to frequent the Paugus Diner every Sunday Morning in the Summer when I was staying on my boat at Fays. I had not been there in 6 or 7 years when I went in there for breakfast on my first trip to the Lakes Region in years this past August. I was not disappointed. The same middle aged blonde lady was still waiting on customers at the counter, and the Denver Omelette was superb. I did notice that the grille was quite a bit longer allowing the short-order cook more space in order to speed up the cooking and serving process. On this last trip, I didn't notice anyone smoking in my immediate vacinity. That use to really bug me in diners, when a smoker would lite up sitting alongside you, and you just received your food order. In Connecticut we don't have a problem with this, for there is no smoking in restaurants, just in private clubs and the casinos. I guess in the land of LIVE FREE OR DIE, they wouldn't regulate smoking in public places??**
