Sea monkeys are a kind of tiny shrimp. Gather enough of them, and you could have a meal!
Lake Winnipesaukee may have billions of them, but you have to know where to look. ![]() Confusingly, these Spiny Water Fleas are described as "microscopic" and "up to 13mm in length". (½-inch). They might be "microscopic" as eggs. Waiting in the wings are the invasive "ammocetes" of Vermont waters, which have cost millions in an attempt to eradicate these parasites on Lake Trout.
