I wish there was a store there now! That would be so handy for us islanders during the summer and ice fishermen, snowmobilers, etc, etc during the winter…

There was also a small grocery store on Glendale Place 40 to 45 years ago. Left of the canvas shop and parking lot. Grey house I think.

Also, not to mention the Glendale Fire Station. But then again, I said not to mention it.

Don't forget the Iron Pot, beer and pizza place between the fire station and the Glendale Store. Charlotte and Lindsey served beer and pizza. The "Freewheelers" car club met upstairs in the fire station. Officer Bob Hutchinson was the Gilford PD advisor to the club. The house on the corner of Dock Rd. was Goodhue's. I believe when John was living there, he was a volunteer firefighter and drove the truck.
