Did you watch the international space station go by last night? We went onto the boathouse at 7:24 and saw it move northwest to east directly above us. It took about 5 minutes to cross the sky. Pretty cool. Reminded me of when Skylab fell to earth back in July of 1979.

And I remember watching for Skylab when it fell. One of the recent cool celestial events was watching a string of Starlink satellites deploy. Astronomers are complaing that the satellites are interfering with celestial viewing. I guess that's a form of photobombing.

NASA’s new Spot the Station app is really nice and sends you a notification when a sighting is coming up:

So I walked outside December 3rd to have a cigarette. I was looking up at the sky and noticed is that star moving? and then there was another star right behind it! moving at the same speed, and then there was another star right behind it moving at the same speed! equally spaced apart! My guess was there was 15 to 20 of them lined up in a row I called my brother who's into this space stuff, and he said that SpaceX just released 24 satellites earlier in the day. It kind of freaked me out. I thought it was the end of the world. Intercontinental nuclear ballistic missiles!!!😀
