This year really flew by, didn't it! It was a tough season for boat issues for us. Our 20 year old pontoon decided to identify as a 3 cylinder midway through the summer. I called Kyle Cosselman ( he's been servicing the boats for years ) who's now with Beacon Marine. He grabbed the boat at Glendale and brought it to the shop. They told me in addition to needing a re-power, it also has some structural issues . After weeks of mulling it over, I decided to cut my losses and sell it. Kyle and Beacon couldn't have been kinder or more patient with me...they were great and I'll recommend them all day!
Our older Chaparal has been a nightmare for years with the way it's been running. Brought it to two different marinas, spent a lot of money, and was told many different things... it's as good as it's gonna be, it's old...sell it, etc. We actually started looking at new boats to replace it! A friend recommended we try Dockside Doctor, so I called and dropped the boat. Erich was very thorough and persistent and uncovered two main problems...2 of the injectors were clogged, and the ignition distributor was installed a tooth off ( stemming from the engine being replaced 7 years ago... reason distributor caps kept failing rapidly). I picked it up on completion, and it now runs perfectly, and was charged less than the other places who were basically throwing repair darts at it!
I can't thank these two businesses enough and highly recommend them both!

Well, my take from all of that is that I am very pleased to know your boat has kept up with the times identifying with something other than what it seems.

If the C-Nile decides to identify as a moped I'm screwed...

I am afraid you will be! The moped might not float! Unless----

Thanks for sharing, Steve. Island living is always an adventure. It's nice to hear about local businesses who are worthy of praise. Details posted elsewhere over time, but a pat on the back to Miles Marine, Diamondshine and Hi-Gloss Boat Restoration.
