When I read the brief terms of the trust in the article - it seems to me that Camp Quinebarge may have a platform to "rent" the property and thus block the sale but I don't understand the aspect of them looking to buy it. The trust only allows that escape sale when the Girl Scouts can't use it and/or they can't rent it to another camp with proceeds going to said Girl Scouts. Why would the trustees sell the camp for 1.5M to Quinebarge? And once sold with the trust ended could not that camp turn around and do whatever they wanted? If Quinebarge really wanted to use it as a camp - offer/sign a 10 or 15 year lease for such use and get the marshmallows and sticks out.
