Default Painter?

Can anyone recommend a painter (exterior - stain, actually) willing to work in the Moultonboro to Tamworth corridor?

Default New England Painting

New England Painting, (www.newenglandpainting.com). Tony is the owner. He is based in Bedford, but does a lot of work at the lake. He did the exterior of our house in Bedford last August, (pressure wash, oil-based primer, 2 coats of solid latex stain). His crew was polite, clean, and quiet. Note that we did have to wait almost a year, but that may be the case with most of the contractors anyway.

Your best bet may be to go to a local retail paint distributor (such as Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore). Routinely, painters will usually leave or post their business cards if they are looking for work (or willing to bid on painting jobs).

Start there and see what you come up with.

Best of luck!

A few months ago, I was at Aubuchon Hardware in Meredith picking up 6 gallons of paint for a new room we built. I could not find a painter so resigned to do it myself. I have painted much in my life and probably one of the things I dislike the most. While the paint was being mixed a gentleman came in to pick up a few gallons he pre-ordered. I initiated a conversation as he seemed to have an account and looked like a professional painter. Sure enough but he is retired but doing small inside jobs for past customers. Needless to say, a few weeks later he did my job, took a week and did an excellent job. Maybe it was the $50/hour cash we agreed to or just at the right place/time and our places were less than half an hour apart. You never know, you could just hang out at a paint store…
