Post Gilford DPW Building Proposal

Article 3 of the Gilford Town Warrant is asking for a $11.2 million bond to demolish the old Gilford DPW building and replace it with a new building to be constructed on the same site.

A lot of people have asked why the town needs a new DPW building and why the existing one can't just be renovated. There have been a number of open houses and public meetings to discuss the proposal.

There is a video of a tour through the existing facility highlighting the problems with the existing DPW building.

There will be further discussion at the Gilford Deliberative Session on Tuesday, February 4th, at 7PM held at the Gilford High School auditorium.

Post Bond Issue Passed

Just a quick note that the Bond Issue for the new Gilford DPW Building, Article 3 on the Gilford Town Warrant, passed with 2/3rds of those voting doing so in favor during yesterday's Second Session. (60% was required in order to pass the bond.)

Now that hard work begins.

When it's NOT your money, It's just so so easy to spend it. Just add another $2.47 per $1,000 dollars to the Tax Bill and Wahla... Spend Spend Spend ..

Kinda like what the Democratic States around New Hampshire does. But then again.... half of them live here now.. So, I guess I'm just preaching to the choir.
