No information on the memory care unit. But my wife is a retired cardiac nurse and on her visits there to see our friends she was impressed and she is very picky. Any facility like Goldenview will have staffing issues and it is unlikely that everyone has a great experience. The suggestion about dropping in is a good one, especially around shift changes, but I'm not sure they will just let you walk around and memory care units are usually locked in some fashion. The more you know the better judgment you will make. When my mother was in a memory care facility in Manchester my wife, who was also on my Mom's Health Care Power of Attorney, would stop by unannounced and review my Mom's chart and the nurses notes. Kept the staff on their toes for sure.
