Default Eagle sightings 2025?

Any bald eagle and/or nest sightings on the lake this season?

We see the birds fairly often around Twentymile Bay, but not aware of a nest. They’re beautiful, impressive to watch, but a concern for the nesting loons.

Always at least 1 if not 2 flying and landing on tree tops in Lake Shore Park.

A pair lives at the NE end of Winnipesaukee near the Loon Center and frequently can be seen flying low to the lake looking for fish.

Default Welch

Living on Welch we see them just about every day. Especially early in the morning when the fishermen are out as they are looking for an easy meal!

Default Bald Eagle

We are seeing bald eagles very often on the East Point of Long Island. Does anyone know where they are nesting this summer?

Eaglets usually start flying around July 4th; the adults (ones with white heads) probably are not nesting anymore, just hanging out and looking over the real estate options for next year.

I snapped these pics late Saturday as we sat on our Spindle Point dock. Eagle flew in and perched about 30 feet up and directly overhead. I don't know where they might be nesting but it's not unusual to see them in this area.

Default Twin Islands

Yesterday, while tubing, we saw 2 adult eagles standing on the rock in between the Twins. They weren't happy as we tubed by and they flew up into the trees on East Twin and watched us tube for 45 minutes.
