Are there any nodes on the west side of Long Island or Braun Bay ? I'm looking for distance at water level. Is there a certain day/time that you find repeaters are active ?

Homemade low power texting devices. Sort of like very low cost amateur radio but no audio, just long range off grid group text. It's just hobby stuff.
