Default Hardscape Landscaper

I am looking for a landscaper who can install a stone patio. Prefer not to use Stephens or Fullerton. Any suggestions?

NHLAKES.org can help with wading (Oops) through the permit processes and how to keep your landscape "Lakesmart".

Try Gilford Lawn and Landscape. They have done a LOT of work for me over the years and I have been very pleased thus far.

JD Stone of Lakes Region Stone has done great work for us. Landscapes By Aurelindo out of Hampton is doing our pool project and is amazing, but a patio may not be big enough for them. They do mainly larger jobs, particularly pool related. Worth a shot.

I’d avoid Miracle, and if Freedomscapes ever rears his thieving face again I would avoid at all costs.

Thanks, just talked to guy.

I too give MF a wide wide berth!

Granite State Landscaping out of Plymouth did good work for us…good price, easy to work with.

I’d avoid Miracle

Why?

I'm still wondering why Codeman and Dick52 advise against using MF. We see them working all over Meredith. Cost, poor service/bad experience, unresponsive, lack of quality, too backed up with work?

I've never used Miracle but frequently thought that we might consider them. If there's a reason we shouldn't, I'd like to understand why?

Arcadia is literally a few hundred feet away from MF's materials storage yet their delivery charge would've still been $50.

We used Pine Ridge, which is just a tad past the corner of Moultonborough Neck and 25, who charged $25.

Not a huge deal, but I usually choose to use the most "mom and pop" option available, especially when their prices are better.

When they quoted me over $100k more than everyone else with a lesser scope of work on our project I got fed up. Plus it was like pulling teeth to even get the quote.

I think if you do some limited homework, you will find the owner, Chris, is very, very expensive, but the quality is subpar. Ask any local contractor who interacts with him, and you will hear the same story.

I was wondering the same about not wanting to use Stephens. I've got something lined up for them and I've never heard anything bad. I know their not cheap I'll spend the money rather than shop around forever...

I haven't heard anything bad about Stephens. I am sure they are expensive though. We are thrilled with the hardscape crew we are using.

I met with someone over the weekend that is on board of the Lakes Region Home Builders Association. His take was that the Massachusetts market for contractors has slowed, and many are making their way north and are bringing better prices and availability with them. Those up here that don't start to get more aggressive on price will start to lose out. He is already seeing it happen.
