my best friend and i went to the Breeze last week for lunch and we wont be going back. we tried the spinach and artichocke dip for an app. the chips were so stale it was like chewing thru peanut butter. then bring on the lunch. we both had crab cakes. the cakes themselves were almost paper thin and were mushy and had a fishy smell. to bad the inside is very nice however like most open concepts very noisy. Guiseppies is the most consistant.

Love the Meredith location. Also, the Weirs Boardwalk location. Service is good so is the food. Neither is great, but as expect. Have yet to visit Gilford

Eight of us went to the Boardwalk Grill last week and everyone thought it was great both food and service! Definitely a fun place with great views of the Weirs!

I will second that, we've tried a few times to get in Dox and the other restaurant next to the tracks with no luck and that place was our fall back, did not disappoint.

Wifey had the crab cakes at The Breeze located in Meredith a few days ago.
They were rather mushy and she stopped eating them about half way through. We decided that we are done with that location but will still go to the one in Gilford. Our disappointment may have been biased by the fact that we were planning to eat at the Lakehouse Grille but did not want their Sunday brunch buffet. It is hard to beat the Lakehouse Grille |

I had lunch at The Breeze Meredith a few weeks ago and it was excellent--Bao Swordfish--I'm excited to return. But I am a bit of a special case--I have heart disease, so I am super strict on saturated fat, and usually that means there's only one or two things for me on a menu, and they do not look quite as good as what I would have eaten a few years ago. (Let's just say I eat my share of grilled salmon.) But The Breeze has a handful of delicious looking healthy and creative fish choices that looked awesome with no compromise

Intersting group of comments, My wife and I are big fans of the Breeze Gilford-- have had many good meals there, reliable favorite (grilled octopus, calamari, swordfish, and salmon) as well as the occasional specials (short ribs) and the menu which changes pretty regularly. Gripes about the noise level are justified, but we very much like the bar setting for dinner or light fare. Great off-season; no TV at the bar: outstanding!
Ate at the Meredith location for the 1st time last weekend-- good entrees-- swordfish and salmon again, but agree with the earlier comment about he artichoke dip-- way too cheesy, not much substance-- disappointing for something that should be easy and is tried-and-true at the Gilford location. Bar setting is great because of the roll-up glass windows and a lot of glass to see Meredith and a bit of the lake. Note that there is a smaller dining room in the read which appears to be much quieter; also, a fireplace in the main dining area which should be very cozy in the winter. Would go back, but they need to work on simple things-- like known recipes. |

To confirm: there are THREE Breeze restaurants? Where the Lyon's Den used to be in Gilford, on the Weirs Pier, and downtown Meredith?
Is there a consensus on which is best? I know they've come up in my family's discussions, but I think the menus and pricing have always kept us away. Are we missing out? Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk |

Many times, parking by boat and or car has been a problem. I have complained about the noise when I do get in and I see no changes.
Once the bar area was very 'rowdy' and staff let it go. Definitely not what a like if I spend a lot of money on food and atmosphere.

I guess we have simple palettes, so the Breeze menu isn't overly appealing to us. The chowder and chicken tenders are good, burgers are decent. The seafood platter is extremely disappointing, and we aren't into duck or octopus. During the winter they do a decent alfredo with steak.
The Gilford location is convenient for us, but just like Ellacoya I find the bar crowd to be a bit hostile. The bar in both places fills up quickly with regulars and god forbid you try to get a seat, they stare you down with nasty looks. |

We went to the Glendale Breeze when it was new. Only a few people eating and a few at the bar. Still very noisy and a request to turn down the music was ignored. Menu was un-appealing and we left without ordering. Tried again the next season after learning that there was a 60 minute wait at Ellacoya. No wait at the Breeze, so we should have been suspicious, but our friends were anxious to eat. Food was unremarkable, service only OK and the noise still objectionable. Anxiously waiting to see a sign that says "New Ownership". Maybe somebody will re-open Cherrystones. Meanwhile, Patrick's remains a steadfast choice walking distance from our dock.

We met friends tonight at Breeze in Meredith. Despite friendly and accommodating staff, we were very disappointed with the entrees we ordered.
Lobster ravioli @$38 was tasty, but lacking in lobster, as was the lobster roll, which arrived on smallish hamburger roll with a slab of tomato and a rather meager amount of lobster salad, limp fries, all for $34. I don’t think we are particularly fussy, but I have no urge to return. A better bet is splurging on lobster meat at Wining Butcher….2# for $100, and you make your own lobster rolls with melted butter! |

We prefer to buy our lobster off the boat also. Also house cooked shrimp.

Dockside in Wolfeboro has excellent lobster rolls for about that same $34, plus a super view outdoors for lunch. Call first, they are likely closing for the season soon

Stopped by for a bite.
Service was good - food also. Expensive yes - but that's not isolated to this particular restaurant I suspect. The only bad thing I can say is the noise. Like other comments made, it's loud. The funny thing is I don't think people were talking loud or shouting but rather the interior design of the place, while attractive, has no sound deadening aspects I suspect. It was like being in an echo chamber. |
