Another boat entered Winter Harbor cut the throttle, and turned its navigation lights off. For about 5 minutes, it sat stationary about 400 feet from shore.

I saw a boat with blue lights last evening and assumed it was a pontoon with it's lights on.

Question Even While Quiet...

Tuesday, a "Lake" (or "Colonial") amphibious aircraft practiced a touch-and-go landing in its dedicated strip of an empty Winter Harbor.

Heading towards him in the opposite direction, was a large I/O boat. There was no acknowledgement of the I/O boat for the takeoff. (No turn to change direction).

As it flew overhead, water dripping off the amphibian might have gotten his attention.
