Today is the start of the annual steamboat meet in Lee's Mills!
Parades are on the first Sunday at 2:00 and the last Sunday at 10:00. The cove just outside Lee's Mills is a great place to anchor out and watch. More info at the link below, and if you happen to float to the end of Hanson Cove and see a rotund midaged suburban father of two sitting on a chair on the lawn reading, wave! https://weirsbeach.com/reasons-to-vi...teamboat-meet/ Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk |

Sorry that this is the first time we've missed it in the last 12 years or so. Always a good time.

I went there this morning just got back home a lot of boats being launched as well as going in and out of the cove. I just sat on a rock and took it all in on this beautiful morning.
Thanks for the heads up Think! I should have taken some pictures but getting them from my flip phone to my laptop is above my pay grade.

The good news is most of those steamboats don't draft all that much water, so I don't think this years low lake level will be a big deal.... unless it starts to affect the usability of the ramp at Lees Mills..... Never having used it I am not sure what it is really like....
It is always a good time, to go to the meet and look around..... I have always enjoyed a few years, going up and watching the parade by boat....
