Friday, Nov 7, 2025, 4am: temperature reported in Laconia is 28-degrees right now and has been that temp for the last five hours.
So, Nov 7, overnight is the first real freeze of the fall/autumn season this year. Cold enough and long enough to make a bucket of water freeze on the surface, overnight. Is November 7 late in the fall season for first overnight freeze or what? Yes, it is!

Nov 17, 2025: So, it is snowing pretty good or heavy here in Waterville Valley at 1800' elevation and the Winnipesaukee.com webcam link is showing that North Conway has no snow in the air and no snow on the ground.
Up on the ski area, Mt Tecumseh web cams, it's all blowing, all snowy white and no machine is outdoors grooming the snow or nothing. Waterville Valley to North Conway in air miles is approximately 22 miles according to Google AI, which seems believable, so what's up with this snow here, no snow there, situation? Driving a car over the roads, it's 66-miles and one hour and thirty six minutes driving time going across the Kancamagus Hgwy which is why no one ever drives from Waterville Valley to North Conway. People drive to Plymouth, NH which 18 easy miles away. Both Plymouth and North Conway have their own totally huge Market Basket food store. How's this happen? ........ ....... when will the government build that gold-plated Livermore two-way paved asphalt road from Waterville Valley, about seven miles north, to connect up with the Kancamagus, high up there, somewhere?
