Default Oil Burner Service Repair - Independent

Seeking independent service/repair person that can do diagnose repair clean - home heating oil burner.

Not interested in calling any oil delivery company. Just seeking a person.
Name and phone number would help.

Thanks.

It's a mighty tall order to try to start a new relationship with an HVAC repair person/company during a cold spell. The only way to get help during a time like this is to have given them a steady flow of business, such as an annual contract, leading up to the breaking point

agree best bet is to call your provider or supplier of oil, propane etc.

Already have dealt with the big oil companies. Sadly, the/some of the technicians are pushed to sell new equipment. Bigly, new oil tank. Second, new furnace.

A good honest independent does not have the "push" to sell all new whether needed or not.

I don't know about that. I hired an independent guy that was recommended on here for a cleaning and although he did a good job, he tried to upsell. He was very expensive and when he was done, he showed me pictures of a number of items that he recommended be changed. My heating system is fairly new, so I know it's in great shape and I know what I'm looking at in the pictures.
None of the items needed attention but I suppose someone with no heating knowledge would just say, do it!
I get my oil from 603 Oil and they didn't do service until recently so now I just use them. I had a cleaning done this fall with no issues and no additional sales pitches at half the price of the independent guy.

Or you are requesting someone to work on a system that doesn’t not meet today’s standards or is illegally installed. A licensed HVAC individual can have their license suspended or revoked if they provide services to such systems.

Oh please ! Always someone seeking nefarious injections. Not sure why some immediately jump to such negative objections.

Historical perspective. Decades ago. Heating system broke. On a Sunday afternoon in winter. Called the local fuel delivery company. The owner came out. He checked everything. Could not find issue as to why not working. Then stated that he could have a completely new system installed the next day for many thousands of dollars.
I knew nothing about heating systems. I needed heat. What else can I do.
On way out from basement. Just on a guess. I asked owner/technician if he could check the wall thermostat. My idea. Yes. He stated he would check the wall thermostat.
Guess what ????
Defective thermostat.
Replaced thermostat. And all worked properly for many many more years.

So who is kidding whom ?

Try Laconia Residential HVAC (603)-737-2937
https://laconiaresidential.com/about-us/
or Porter Heating & Cooling (Laconia) 603.366.2662

Laconia Residential installed a new furnace and Porter installed a new A/C.
Both provide EXCELLENT service at a fair price.

I know they install new HVAC, but unsure if they provide service to existing HVAC ? Porter is the smaller of the two for sure, but give both a call. They may only service the products that they sell ?
Good luck !

That must have been Rowell's. My HVAC guy put is a new condensing boiler and retired. I called Rowell for the first 3 year service. The technician was all over me, need a new this and a new that. He also says the unit is junk and will give me headaches for the next few years. I switch to Gunstock HVAC, a teriific indie! It's been almost a decade since Rowell. Not one hiccup!

I have used Rowell's for septic tank work in the past and found them to be more expensive than others. Last summer I had an issue with the septic pump in the tank that pumps up to town sewer. I called Rowell's and they wanted $150 emergency service fee to be there in 4 hours. I called Lamprey Septic and they showed up in under an hour with no upcharge. They pumped the tank and within a couple of days they replaced the pump. The communication from their office about scheduling was great, and the price was fair.

Because the above post referenced Gunstock HVAC: For an air conditioning issue I have used Gunstock HVAC. Quick service at a reasonable price.
