SteveA, You make me feel better, we have four. We originally adopted 3 from the NHHS, and then fostered one who had diabetes (poor guy needed two shots a day). Well, when the foster period was up, guess what? Now we have four BTW, we were able to get the diabetes under control, so no more shots.

Default Better or just a little less crazy?

PBR,

Glad to help

She who must be obeyed.. (AKA the wife) threatens to continue getting more cats until the kids start producing some grandchildren!

If she gets one of those "animals are just small people in fur coats" bumper stickers... I'm going to have to look into having her committed.

Seriously... the staff and volunteers there are wonderful.

Default Sweet Ralph

PLEASE tell me someone has responded to that heartfelt letter regarding Sweet Ralph. I didn't sleep well last night thinking about that poor dog.
I am in a small apartment in MA, no pets, or I would have been up there first thing this morning to get him. There must be someone out there with as soft a heart as is needed to adopt an older dog. I'm sure he would be grateful for a home & someone to call his own. Everytime I think about him I get all teary.

Default Looks like someone is trying to adopt Ralph

His picture and Bio have a notation "Pending Interview"

I think that means someone is trying to adopt him.

Scroll down to Ralph.

Default Sweet Ralph

SteveA: I think pending interview next to a picture of a child, means you can only have children in the house he goes to pending an interview with you and or the child. You got my hopes up........

Default Spoke w/ them just now

ChattyPatty,

I just spoke w/ NHHS.... they do have a family that wants to adopt. The notation means they are waiting to interview the children.

As someone who is very familar w/ NHHS, I can assure you that they are very careful with the homes they release the animal too.

Stay positive... Ralph will get placed!

Default Ralph has a family!!!

Hi all-
I went to NHHS today after work to see Ralph and he was in an interview with a couple. I asked if they were taking him home and they said they hoped so! Ralph is a cutie pie, he was looking out the window and he was so happy!
After, I asked an employee if he was going with them, and she said yes!
SO, Ralph has found a forever home! There are more cutie patooties there though....

Default It will be happy holidays for Ralph

Great News ! Thanks for keeping us all updated jlrm73 and SteveA. The NHHS IS the best place to find a forever friend. It's also a great place to visit because you will always leave with a smile. It's also a great place to help out with donations, especially if you are unable to donate time, there are items the shelter needs every day. Just check out the list on their web site, 'NHHS Wish List'.

Merry Christmas Ralph!
