Default The Mount is out tonight

Photo Details

Poster: Island Girl (see this users gallery)

I felt her coming long before she appeared on the horizon.. I just knew it... know the feeng of the house when the Mount is approaching.. My excitement grew as she got closer... though it was still somewhat light out, I flashed the porch lights...and she immediately flashed back. I am not sure what is so exciting about that, but I jumped up and down waving at her... and of course, taking pictures...

I put a movie in PhotoPost too... just so you can be here too!!

Yes, I know that feeling . . . a deep pulsating that you feel before you hear. I'm almost never surprised when I look up and see the Mount, I almost always feel it first.

When we turned onto Lakeside Ave last night just after 8 my son declared something was missing.... my wife announced she thought she had seen her on her way home from work by Ames farm.

We waited patiently for her to come home and then we heard the first horn blasts of the season after 9. I rushed to grab the first fireworks I could get my hand on (I grabbed a cheesy roman candle!) and did my best to welcome her home and usher in the season in the middle of the street as my kids and wife watched her pull in to the dock. This time of year full reverse at the Weirs docks shakes the windows in the house, gosh I've missed that!

The Mount hosted the Kingswood prom Saturday evening. It was a beautiful night for the event.

thank you, that explains why she went by our place so late! we were a little startled to feel the bass rumble of her engines at 9:20pm, but made it down to the dock to get our first "flash" of the season from the Captain!

what a great place for a high school prom, and it was a beautiful night... those lucky kids!!

Default First Cruise Of The Season

On Sunday 5/6 We went out on the Mount Washington for our first ride of the season. It was a bit chilly, but, as usual, a fabulous way to spend an afternoon!
