This was on our dock this morning. Who ever left this should have had enough courtesy to retrieve it.
![]() If you have children that go out and fish, please tell them they should not leave behind lures with dangerous hooks for people to step on. Not to mention the fact they should be respectful of expensive boats, toys, chairs etc. If there is an accident and you hook something like that, do the right thing and own up to it! Is this a lure that would be used by a bass fisherman or a novice? ![]() |

I found a couple "new holes" in my boat cover. There are always fishermen fishing around my dock. I wish they would fish elsewhere. Please fishermen, be more careful!!

That's certainly a Bass fishing lure = it's a Senko (or an imitation of one).
If the lure was left as the photo shows, it's a mystery why the angler that left it behind didn't retrieve it. Was the bait stuck into the wood and moved to the pictured location so you could get a better view? Note: These baits are used by all levels of anglers - novice to pro. John/NH |

That's a real shame. It sounds like a bad cast and a bit novice to me, however, anyone could have easily retrieved the bait. Glad you spotted it before it caused any problems.
Have a great holiday weekend, Signing off until Tuesday and heading home to relax with the family, John/NH |

Tell me about fishing hooks. I once found a three pronged hook at a friend's beach on Sewall Road. I found it with my foot and it cost me a trip to the Doctor on vacation to get a tetanus shot.

I found a 8-inch rubbery version of that lure in a tree branch next to my dock.
It has a head, arms and legs, and looks like a huge beige salamander. It's hooked -- with an even larger hook -- in the same way as your picture shows. ![]() |

Thank heavens you found it with your eyes and not with your feet! Good Grief - what kind of idiot leaves something like that behind, when it would have been so easy to retrieve?
