Default New Year's Eve Plans

Wife and I are coming to camp after Christmas to spend New Year's in New Hampshire. Are there New Year's eve or First Night activities that are not to be missed? I see some events listed on the calendar, which ones do you recommend?
Thanks,

Wolfeboro has a FIRST NIGHT celebration with fireworks at 5:30 and midnight. Performances are featured at venues all over town from 3:00 until 10:00ish.

Actually McD I was planning to swing by Altons little mushroom and hemp shop you talked about in the "what we need" thread for the big night, but since the mans shut them down I guess we'll need alternative plans!

Thanks!
