Default Much of M'boro ice is safe

As of 1/6, the 1/3 report from the M'boro Snomo club web site is still posting a warning: The LAKE is not frozen yet and any areas that are will be extremely DANGEROUS! - but this is no longer true north of light marker 14. The ice is solid from the east side of M'boro neck towards the Ossipees. Fishermen are reporting 6-8" of ice. The water passage east of Little Ganzy, which usually the last to become safe, is solid. The land-passage around the entrance to Green's Basin (never safe) is rough, but the lake access to it is frozen. There are many tracks between the powerline trail and Arey's trail to the castle. Sunday may be the best day for sledding for a while, as a warm spell is forecast. See ya on the trails! Update Sunday nite. M'boro snomo club did an amazing gooming job leading up to the thaw. Cudos! After two days of warm temperatures the trails are a bit rough in spots but weekend riding was sweet.
