I live fifteen minutes from Giant Stadium. My husband has season tickets to the Giants. He says we are watching the Giants' game on TV tonight as he sold the tickets (doesn't like night games in December - go figure). My son is going to a friend's house to cheer on the Giants. I own a Giants sweater. My kids own Giants' sweatshirts. I am cheering for the Patriots - very, very quietly. When they win, though, I will get very, very loud! GO PATRIOTS! Starting already! nj2nh

	 | Go PATS. and they went Quote:
The Pats are a New England Team. They represent the Lakes Region not just Boston even if they may not be your favorite team Imagine, The New England Cowboys or New England Dolphins. Do those names even sound close to proper? Or maybe the Lakes Region Cowboys or Lakes Region Dolphins . Nope, Cowboys and Dolphins don't even come close to a NE or Lakes connection. Its Miami Dolphins not Florida. And the Dallas Cowboys, not Texas. The Pats play for New England including Winnie. How many TV channels were showing the Pats game around the Lakes Region? The very same camera shots, voices even commercials on the 3 major on air TV networks plus cable and satellite services. The darn game was everywhere. I think there is a Lakes Region connection here. Go with it . Feel proud for New Englands winning team. A perfect regular season is a good thing to share everywhere in NE. 16-0. Happy New Year

	 | New draft pick

The season is done and our Pats won. With all that happened this last season I think the league needs a new draft category. The position of stealth videographer. Unlike the last videographer the Pats used you will not hear about the real experts at this job. Any school around the lake with courses in clandestine video taping? The Pats might like a new guy. |

What's scary is they have I believe 7th overall pick in the draft this winter/spring. Geez, does it ever end for those guys? How much more can they inprove? This winning streak can potentially continue deep into next season. Hey, don't forget those Celtics. |

The Pats lost a first round pick due to video infractions but have the 49er's 1st round pick. Lets see whose 1st round pick is better....I will take the 49er's pick. Love to watch the boys in green again. I do miss #17Hondo Havlicek and #6, I forgot his name, playing. Cowboys are one and done! |

I live in Texas, I'm originally from New Jersey and will never, ever be a "Cowgirls" fan. It's hard at times, specially when the Giants play the "Cowgirls", but I've survived for 20 something years down here as a loyal Giants fan. Almost killed me to see Bill Parcells in a cowboy's shirt! Go Big Blue!

I agree with Samiam...the Colts really worried me this year. I'm glad the Pats are playing the bolts, and hopefully this year LT will keep the crying private afterwards (though seems like the Jags defense couldn't after last game)

Hey just be glad that my Bronco's did not make the cut this year. They always seem to be a tough team to beat when they make the playoffs and usually give NE a tough time in the post season. I'm no Pats fan, but will admit that they are a very good team with the best coach bar none in the league. Matter of fact I would bet that by the time everything is all said and done, you may be watching the best coach in NFL history. I do however think that Brady is a bit overrated. |

	 | Compared to who? He set the season touchdown passes record, voted league MVP, numerous weekly player of the week awards, and now has the highest percentage of completions in a game, ever. And I haven't mentioned the 2 superbowl MVP's! OK, deep breath. Seriously though, is TFB overrated or overpromoted? Lord knows I had enough of the Seyton Manning bandwagon the last few years.

Brady's got some great targets to hit. This is arguably the most potent offense ever. He's having a career season, in the midst of a Hall of Fame career. And I am not a Pats fan. Now, if only he was having a career season in his personal life...

Brady has always had a good team to work with, this year in particular is no exception. Does this diminish his accomplishments this year or in the past? Certainly not, however at the same time it definitely helps. Let's face it, football is a team sport and if the team collectively plays well than individual records will reflect that. What the Pats have to make them great is IMHO the best coach of all time, bar none.

Overated? Are you guys nuts?Who did Brady have to throw to in winning 3 superbowls?Chumpchange my friends. Was Manning overated setting the record with his allstar recievers? Now that he has weapons he sets the all time touchdown record and he's overated? You are watching a career of historic perportions my friends. If he wins his 4th this year is he still overated? What would he have to do to be rated with your perception?Get off the Patriot hating bandwagon and enjoy something you might not ever see again in your lifetime.

My sincere condolences to the Patriots fans. That was one of the best Super Bowl games ever played. As your coach said, "We made some plays, but they made a couple more." As a Giant fan, I am most proud that the Giants beat what may be considered one of the top 5 or 6 teams to ever play the game. An amazing accomplishment going 18-1. As they say, on any given day....

	 | Congratulations to the NY Football Giants

Although I am and will always be a Pats fan, I remember the days before the old AFL, when the NY Football Giants where the "local" team. The were the Football Giants because there was a baseball team also named the NY Giants, before they move to San Francisco. Congratulations for a well deserved victory. I was suprised by the outcome, but the team that plays the game the best often wins. The Pats were outplayed yesterday. Wait until next year! R2B |

I have been really upset since last night and then I talked to someone and it made me feel better, this what they said, and now remember I am a season ticket holder here: they said "don't be that upset the players cheques cleared, they are not as dissapointed as you" I agree to a degree and it made me feel better and to start worring about more important things again, try it out! |

Congrats Giants fans, your team was the better team yesterday and deserved to win, although I thought the entire defensive line was the MVP and not shEli. Talk about a level of pressure not seen before! My wife has removed all the sharp objects and presciption drugs from the house. Food has lost its taste. Colors are bland. My 10 year old son learned what its like to be a real New England sports fan. This sucks. Hows the rest of planet Patriot doing?

It is disappointing, but it's just one game. I don't think it makes 18-0 and the other records any less impressive.

DPG, you say: I keep telling everyone at work I believe this is Belichick's last year and everyone tells me I'm crazy. You may be right, the filming of the Rams walk thru for Super Bowl XXXVI may present some real problems for him. Still one of the best coaches ever. Loved him when he was on the Giants. |

I was out and about today and lots of folks were wearing their Giants gear. Funny though, it looked like it had been dragged out of the back of a closet. As a Giants/Pats fan it was hard to decide who to root for. I went with my roots the Giants ... (yes I go back to when there were no Patriots) ... and those of us from Connecticut will never forgive Robert Kraft for teasing us with a relocation deal.

At least you guys don't have to worry about that big * that would have followed the 19-0 record now.

The Giants outplayed the Patriots in the Super Bowl. The Pats left too many plays on the field. I go way back as a Patriots fan. Went to my first Pats home games when their home was Boston University Field in the early 60s. Some history. 12/20/59 Clemson QB Harvey White becomes first player to sign a Boston Patriots contract. 2/8/60 Lou Saban is appointed first head coach. 2/20/60 As the result of a public contest, the nickname of Patriots is chosen. The Patriots also announce that the team colors will be red, white and blue. 4/1/60 Boston University Field is named as the Patriots'first home. 4/2/60 Patriots become first pro team in history to issue public stock. 4/19/60 Uniformed patriot centering football ( creative work of Boston/Worcester cartoonist Phil Bissell ) is adopted as team logo. 7/4/60 Team opens first training camp at the University of Massachusetts, 350 players attended. 7/30/60 In the AFL's first ever preseason game, the Patriots defeat Buffalo 28-7 at War Memorial Stadium. Patriots DB Bob Dee recovered a fumble for the league's first touchdown. 8/14/60 Patriots play their first home game ever at Harvard Stadium, a 24-14 loss to the Dallas Texans before 11,000 fans. 9/9/60 In their first regular season game, the Patriots open with a 13-10 loss to Denver at B.U. Field before a crowd of 21,597. 12/17/61 The Patriots ended the season with a 41-0 shutout over San Diego to finish with a 9-4-1 record, second in the AFL Eastern Division. The 41- point margin of victory remains the largest shutout victory in Patriots history. More history; http://www.patriots.com/Search/index.cfm?pn=6&PCID=89

	 | oh them giants

Well I watched the game, I think that Brady was not protected enough, even a big, heavy, Giant came thru at the worst time and got Brady. Score wise I think it was a great game. But if the Patriots protected the quarterback just a little more I think the outcome would have been different. Did anyone notice that the Giants were wearing Red Sox colours? Might have been the difference. |

Hey as a SOX fan says "Wait until next year!" You should see the local papers here in NJ nothing but pictures of the Giants. You know, the team from New York that plays in Joisey Swamps... Last edited by gtxrider; 02-08-2008 at 10:53 PM. Reason: spelling | |
