Default Lane's End Marina Roof Collapse

I haven't heard any discussions here about the collapse of one of the boat storage buildings at Lane's End. We went there this weekend and it is the smallest building. There was a crane there, I assume it will be used to remove debris. Anyone know how many boats are in there?

I was told there were 32 boats and 3 cars. They are still removing them, trying not to cause any more damage. Unfortunately, my boat was not in that shed.

FYI for all you frugal Yankees out there: the storage company does not insure the individual boats. If yours is not insured, you are SOL!

Your Boat is in their Care, CUstody, and Control, by default their insurance policy does cover it because of this, it is Personal Property of others in you C,C,C. They might try to amek you sign a form saying they are not responsible or you hold them harmless but it will not hold up. It is like when you go to a parking lot or garage and the ticket says you hold them harmless for damage to your vehicle. Doe snot work that way, they can try to push liability off them all they want.
It is just to try and deter people from making claims, and therefore making their insurance premiums increase due to loss history becuase a standrard market might not write them because of losses, and the deterance also helps the business person with ease of doing business by deneying everything and to help deter fraudulant claims against them, which is also not a bad thing

I am sure becuase of the situation their insurance company is trying damage control and will address each claimant individually.

It's in Melvin Village.

Our boat is stored there.

Thanks for the heads up.

No -- it's not Melvin Marina. It's closer to Twin Islands.
