That's total BS. You can register as a non-resident and you don't need AND CAN'T HAVE a NH drivers license. I had a car registered here for many years before I became a resident. You just can't take it out of the state for moe than 24 hrs I believe. Have them check with the NHSP if they don't understand. Sometimes town clerks think they run the world.
