Hi SteveA - Thank you for that great donation! I just spent some blissful time reading in the link you provided; the poems are excellent! I'm sure whoever wins the book will really enjoy it!

I just received this email and am posting it with the sender's permission, of course:

Hi Krista -

My name is Donna Perham (callmeD) and I have started a new, second massage therapy practice in Meredith. My main location is in Melrose, MA (10 years), and I am hoping to eventually move to Gilford where I have a second home once I become established in Meredith.

I would like to donate a gift certificate for a 75 minute massage (valued at $85.00).

My business name is

Perham Therapeutic Massage
Donna M. Perham, LMT, NCTMB
3 Main Street
Meredith, NH 03252
Tel. 603.707.1255

Would you like me to mail the Gift Certificate to you? I am hoping to attend the Forum Fest, but I'm not 100% sure at this point.

Thanks.

Donna

Thank you Donna!

Exclamation Attention Collectors!

Here's my offerings:

"Oklahoma!" Knowles china collector's plate. Artwork by Mort Kunstler, fourth issue, 1986. This is a numbered edition (#537 H). This is the first collector's plate series official authorized by the estates of Richard Rodgets and Oscar Hammerstein II, to commerate this great American musical. (This is selling for about $14-$35 on eBay right now and will increase in value over time.)

"The Quail", Knowles china collector's plate, 1987. Plate number 5973A. This is a limited edition by American artist Wayne Anderson. Third issue in the Uplands Birds of North America collection. (This is selling on eBay right now for about $15-$30 and will only increase in value.)

(NOTE: these photos are not photos of my two plates but they look exactly like this - both plates are in excellent condition! I am digital photographically challenged at the moment!)

Stay tuned... I also have some antique postcards I'm going to post later today.... (psst! McDude!!!)

Just noticed that IG listed Love Bites Pastry Shop's surprise epicurean delight as a raffle item.

Wow...

Am having trouble understanding the difference between a donated item for consumption at the Forum Fest and a donated raffle item.

Love Bites Pastry Shop's delectable delight, Steve A's chili, and Misty Blues' grilling, were my understanding, to be consumed by the attendees. Did I miss something?

My mind thinks of these items as that which makes an event a happening. Similar to such necessary items as paper and plastic products, tables and chairs, beverages - water, ice tea, and/or sodas, ice, salads - greens, potato, or egg, cookies, brownies, chips, dips, and lots of smiling faces denoting happiness.

Just curious and confused...

Speaking of which, have the necessity items been donated? Is there a list somewhere of whom will be able to bring what?

Happpy thought - eleven days 'til the happening...

Hi GWC - thank you for your note. I'd like to address your concerns, as best I can, as this is something that I was prepared for...

On the "official announcement" thread, I've asked folks to RSVP and to list what they're bringing for food. There's not much of a food list so I think I'm going to start a separate thread for food. I don't wish to coordinate it but I can start the thread.... It's likely that more people than just those posters who have RSVP'd will be coming and we'll have plenty of food/drink items. Keep in mind several posters can't make the plans to come until the last minute, which is understandable.

In short, I don't expect that list of food to start coming together until early next week... that's perfectly normal for something like this.

About food donations....

I think I misunderstood LoveBites donation as a donation for the raffle vs. a donation for the food table. Because there were people donating items, listing food, etc. on the announcement thread, it got confusing (at least for me...) I called Darcy @ LoveBites and she confirmed they are bringing something for the food table AND something as a donation.

This just can't get any better, can it??

As a side note....
Before this thing got rocking, I had polled some of the old guard about the possible donation of food items for forum fest, as it's something that might need to be shipped or need special storage. They stated it was "totally up to you" but cautioned me about shipping food items or liquids. (Good advise and common sense.)

Thanks for your questions about the food, etc. - I can promise you I will be starting a food thread soon and expect we'll have better answers to your questions soon.
