Default Yes I have

I went there on a monday and it happened to be the day after all you can eat lobster. Oh my gosh, the food was amazing!! almost all of the $10.99 Monday night specials had lobster in them. I had the lobster alfredo and it was full of the freshest lobster. It was the best meal I've had in a long time. I was there with a party of six and our bill wasn't over $150.00. We had drinks appetizers and dessert on top of our meals too. I can't wait to go again.

I ate at Kevin's last night. The food was delicious, as usual. I had the stuffed salmon and the it had a ton of lump crab in it. Just a note to salmon eaters, Kevin likes to cook it on the rare side so you need to order it the way you like it if not rare. The salads were nice and fresh and plenty to share between two people. This is one of my favorites especially for fish.

Default Best Seafood in the Region

My wife and I eat at Kevin's nearly every winter weekend that we are at our NH home. If you like seafood that is always fresh, with generous portions, prepared and cooked perfectly (not dry or over cooked), simple but satisfying presentations, and at reasonable prices....Kevin's is your place.

I know this sounds like a paid advertisement....it is not. We challenge anyone to find a seafood restaurant anywhere on this side of the lake that can compare with Kevin's seafood quality and overall value. Kevin's dining room lacks character and can be chilly on blustery days, but the dining pleasures dwarf the lack of ambiance.

Default Kevin's

Kevin's Cafe has to be the best keep secret in the lakes region. If you like fresh fish or seafood, this is the place for you. On Fridays he has an "all you can eat" fried clams dinner for $19 that is to die for. I had the lobster alfredo and was great. The food makes up for the small dining rooms and limited decor.

Should that be Memorial Day or are you anticipating a strong Fall following?

We went to Kevin's last nite for the first time for dinner. Everything was wonderful. The Haddock was VERY fresh & beautifully prepared!! My pasta dish was a $10.95 special & it was delicious. The crabcake appetizer was one of the best crabcakes I have had in a long, long time. It had tons of lump crabmeat in it which I so greatly enjoyed. Thanks Kevin for a fine meal & I think it's great that you are such an integral part - from taking our order, to preparing & serving our meal !!! We will definitely be back

Thumbs up

My wife and I went last night for the first time and had the "all you can eat clams" special. The batter he uses on the clams is very light and they were done perfectly! I like the cole slaw as well. We will definitely go back. The Sunday lobster special looks really good.

Default Another great meal...

Hey all,

Here's a post to keep Kevin's Cafe high on the list of places to visit. I took my family to Kevin's this past weekend and we had another wonderful meal. The swordfish I had that night was probably the best I have had at any time, any place. Do yourself a favor and try it out.

BTW, I mentioned Kevin's to a co-worker who also spends time up at the lake and she raved about the breakfast, too. I'll have to give that a try sometime...

Default Kevin's was busy!

I was delighted to see Kevin's parking lot "packed" last Friday night for his Friday night Fried Clam special! Although I did not order the fried clams, I would say that 99% of those dining were enjoying one, two, and perhaps even three platters of fried clams. I was eager to "sample" one fried clam to savor the taste of what everyone else was enjoying, and asked our waitress if she could "sneak" me one. She brought a small (but generous) plate of fried clams to our table, and they were absolutely delicious - and this from someone who does not particularly like fried foods! Light, delicate batter....and not greasy! That said, I had the scallops for my entree, and they were as delicious as always. Three cheers to Kevin's Cafe for providing us with outstanding cuisine! I hope that more folks will discover it.

i was a little reluctant to post this as I have been a big supporter of kevin's over the years and especially on Monday night but my wife and i went again this past monday night( about the fifth time this summer) as usual the food was great and the prices can't be beat but it was very crowded and maybe as a result the service was below average. so the great news is there were a lot of people there and food was great but service was not good

Default A Similar Experience

My wife and I had lunch at Kevin's back several weeks ago. The lunch was very pleasant and we had no complaints. We did notice that when both rooms had customers the one server seemed a little overwhelmed. The layout is not the best, but the food was very good and we will visit again.

You go to Kevin's for the food which is excellent and the value. The place itself is plain (although fixed up some this year) and the servers try hard which counts a lot. As most things are cooked to order it can be slow if busy, but it is still great if you know what to expect.

Hi Phoenix, I've never been to Kevin's but it sounds great. My only thought about your comment on the below-average service is that perhaps because is was Monday of Labor Day Weekend their expectation was that it would be slow with all of the vacationers going home and locals going back to work Tuesday, so they planned for that and inadvertantly were understaffed? Just a guess!

Just a reminder that school started early this year in NH as well as surrounding states leaving many area business very short handed. Thanks to all of the various school boards who don't give a single bit of consideration to the business' that employ kids for the summer. At least we know they will remember us when it comes time to solicit donations.
