Smile Call Ahead Dock (Merideth) Ya Right

Yesterday my wife and I took her mother and father on boat ride and they wanted to stop at the town docks and hit the food place right there (forgot name). Any way I said, not sure if we will be able to get a dock pretty busy over there. My mother in-law said, don't worry I am sure things will work out. So we leave Gilford and head over and there are a few boats in front of us but some spots were opening up. I have to watch my mother in-law, can't walk very good and needs ADA parking in most places (kind of old). Anyway, we were next and secured a spot right where we needed to, only waited for about three minutes. I said, this is cool, I would have never thought we would get in this quick. So my mother in-law say's, I told you not to worry because I called ahead so we would get a dock. I just said ya right, watch your step. Had excellent service, food was great and everyone had a great time. Very good day.

What did she do, call in a bomb threat to clear the docks? Don't know of anything else that would work.

Appropriately enough, it's called Town Docks.

Default They are town docks!

If I recall, and I may be wrong but, But I think that they got permission to build those BEAUTIFUL docks by making them "town" docks and open for public use. I have no complaints. They are wonderful addition to Meredith.
Am I wrong?

Who ya gonna call? DockBusters.

Since you are talking about the town docks did she call town hall? What department? What phone number did your mother-in-law use and who did she talk to?

I would use that service on a sunny summer weekend if there is such call ahead docking. I can almost see the boaters waiting for a space looking at the empty space your mom-in-law reserved. In my dreams I can see it happen (and it's not pretty ).

Was your mother-in-law dreaming, teasing, serious or was this another 'senior moment'?

Glad you all had a good day and an easy time parking the boat.

I have been boating for 20 years and have only waited a long time may be a handful of times over the years. Never had to wait during the week, only a few times on busy weekends and we always got a spot sooner or later.
