I think it's a great idea !

I used to think it was a bad idea. However, I spent a lot of time last summer on the Mount and think it is a great place for an event. Here are my thoughts... feel free to add or argue or whatever!

In the past our events had the following features
· People are used to just showing up and leaving when they want
· The only costs have been donations to the raffle and any food people brought and raffle tickets
· We brought all of our own food
· We brought a lot of raffle items
· Getting someone to organize it is difficult and organizing the event a but stressful!

If we go on the Mount
·People would have to commit ahead of time if we want a group rate (if that is possible)
·Bringing our own food is probably an issue
·We might have to pay for space to hold our raffle, of course if the Mount is the recipient of the raffle funds that might help
·Maybe instead of a raffle, just buying a ticket on the boat is our good will for the year!
·Organizing might be easier without all the volunteering!
· The views are spectacular
·There is indoor and outdoor space, so weather is not an issue
·We get to see each other again
·We don’t have to cook
·We could do it in the summer when more people are around
·It would show our support for a most important part of our lake culture
·We could do an evening cruise!
So.. talk among yourselves… it would be nice to settle this early and with good spirit!!
