DRH, were both of those rainbows visible to the eye before you took the pic, or did you only notice the second one after you saw the picture?

Both of the rainbows were visible to the naked eye. That doesn't happen often, but in this case both the primary and a secondary rainbow were visible.

Talking We Got Treated to a Rainbow Too!

Pretty cool that Bear Island South and the Webmaster caught the rainbow on the webcam!

DRH, what a beautiful picture! Despite the difference in our locals, the views are pretty similar.

I was so happy that I had remembered the camera this weekend!
Unfortunately R-Guy's Photoshop was on the fritz and we couldn't share them right away.

A double delight for sure!

The pot of gold disappeared before we could get to it.

The lighting became quite interesting as the rainbow faded.

I learned that turning a camera that has a polarizing lens on it will make a rainbow disappear if you do not adjust the filter.

That's is pretty cool stuff!

RG...great pics. You couldn't find the pot of gold because if you look in the close up picture, it would appear that you would have had to look at the lake floor to find it.
