Fishercat
fishercat was observed on Rattlesnake last night. Has any one else seen this animal here? Could be a problem for your cat or dog because they are around 24/7, not just at night

While a Fisher may do in a house cat, that is not normal food for them.
http://www.nhfishandwildlife.com/fisher.php I don't think that a normal size dog would be in any danger. Also, adult mink are often mistaken for Fishers and mink are often seen along the shores of our islands. We have a family of mink over on Welch. |

fishers probably wont bother with your cats and will stay away from your dogs unless cornered, they mostly feed on small game

You'll know pretty quick if it is a fisher. When you here the scream of a woman getting attacked....That is the fisher. Scared the B'Jesus out me one night when one was in my driveway. Just sitting there screaming it's little brain out.
Gave me the hebee gebees...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFv3o...ayer_embedded#! http://fishercatscreech.com/fisher-cat-sound-and-audio/ |

I have had two cats torn to pieces by fishers over the years. They are the only animal that I would shoot on sight. They are ruthless killers that kill for the fun of it. Don't let your cats out if they are around.

Coyotes
We have 2 packs of coyotes around our house, 5 in one, 7 in the other. We keep our cats in. I would think the fishers would lose to the coyotes so we have not seen any.
The dog is a gentle giant but still 110 pounds so even the coyotes leave him alone |
