Garden Oasis
Has anyone heard what the status of the Garden Oasis in Belmont is? I ate there once last summer but in spite of its website the place looks unplowed and closed.

http://www.gardenoasisfamilyrestaurant.com/ Their website is down and there is no sign of life at their location. Looks like the owners original plans to have this location be the first of multiple chains throughout the country fell flat on its face. http://www.fosters.com/apps/pbcs.dll...-1/CITNEWS0303 Great location, great building, good food, but horrible advertising was probably the reason this one didn't work out. What a shame. It didn’t even last a year.
Also I am sure many wondered if "Garden Oasis" was a Chinese food restaurant or a dance club. No one knew because they didn’t tell people what they were. |

We ate there once, it was strange. Order at the counter, put a number on your table, like the 60's. Food was decent, we both had fried haddock.
The place was beautiful and huge, they spent a small fortune on it. I think they tried to do too much at once. |

Life at Garden Oasis
Looks like someone bought the Garden Oasis building, and is busy remodeling the inside. Anyone know what's going on there?

New Tenant
I was told from the listing realtor that the new business is leasing this location. Owner had no takers for selling the property for what he had into it...
