Dog Groomers
We are heading north this weekend with the kids and our baby...Hunter (German shorthaired pointer). We are staying in Swissvale. On Saturday, we plan on dropping off the kids so they can go skiing. So that leaves me, the husband and Hunter!
I was wondering...any places near Swissvale...Moultonboro, Center Harbor, Meredith... that we can drop off Hunter for a few hrs of beauty? Wash...clip...cut...the whole thing? I don't want to have him sitting in the house or truck all day while we are out and about and thought maybe he could be groomed for a hour or two while my husband and I do a couple things. Any suggestions? Thank you. |

There's a pet store between Heath's Market and the liqueur store. They might do it.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. When I told my husband my plans for the dog...he was like "we not going to drop him for grooming...well take him out with us for the day". I agree, but it does limit us on what we can do and for how long.
So, the grooming is probably not going to happen this weekend, but I will keep your suggestions handy, as with the summer...he may just show up at one of the places you all recommened. Thanks all. eillac |

Didn't see any...
...when I googled Mobile Groomers. Concord and points south and east.
Now, maybe there is a career change in order...

Karen Bechard
302 Whittier Hwy Moultonborough, NH 03254 (603) 253-3185 We took our golden there for a number of years to get a good summer shave-down (sounds crazy, but it works on reducing hot spots caused by too much time in the water). She's very good with them, and is a breeder as well. Lives in Melvin. Same building (downstairs from) as the animal hospital.

Wolfeboro
I just had my black lab and shih-tzu done by Kari (Pronounced carr-ee) Lauber in Tuftonboro. She used to do mobile grooming, but now has a very nice home grooming studio. She was great with the dogs and had that "dog whisper" approach (firm, but relaxed). My dogs were very comfortable with her. I have decided she will be their year-round groomer when I move up here. HIGHLY recommended.
You can reach her at: 515-0027 ( Sorry for the double post, but there were two dog groomer threads going. ) |
