Flurries in Meredith
BEWARE!!
Two Fried Haddock Sandwiches and an order of Onion Rings to go. Brought it all home to find rotten tomato slices and lettuce in two buns WITHOUT the tops and no tarter sauce. That's right.....no tops on the buns just bottoms. As for the rings, they were a pile of mush with very little batter that wasn't properly cooked and really didn't adhere to the onions anyway. I immediately called and asked for the manager. Of course the manager wasn't there. After I described my concerns to the teenager on the phone I was asked for my name and told to mention my name the next time I'm there and "something will be done about it." The only problem with the response is I WILL NEVER GO BACK! Is Flurries under new ownership? Does anyone know what Ipswich Lobster is? Am I the only one who finds the sign out front to be an eyesore and a determent to the entire stretch of road? Again I say BEWARE of Flurries in Meredith. One last point...the rear of the building has become a youth hangout. Flurries is a great place to bypass. |

I did a google on Flurries and found three very positive comments. Maybe something wrong in the mix? Seems like a place for ice cream and/or food. Don't know why yours was so bad.

Flurries has great ice cream but has always been expensive.
Now for "take out, summer" food, we always head to Red Hill Dari.....yummy! |

I do not believe it has a new owner but has been for sale for almost 3 years now.

Ice cream
We swimming up in Sandwich Notch today, and afterwards we took the kids for ice cream. I can personally attest to the awesomeness of the butter brickle, black raspberry and elephant tracks (Brickle for me, plus I sampled my husband and son's!). My daughter got bubblegum, which she said was amazing...and I took her word for it! The food menu looked pretty good, and fairy reasonable, but we had already eaten lunch.
Also, it was about 1, and we were the only people there. It is kind of a tricky location to get out of, I suppose. |

I have been to flurries 3 times the past week and enjoyed a great cheeseburger each time. My son also loved his cheeseburger. The ice cream was excellent. It was $1 more than the town docks but had generous portions. Also, the teenage girls were very professional. My wife even commented to me how they treated the place like they were family to the owners (mopping restrooms and cleaning condiments).

Flurries has delicious fat free soft serve ice cream!!
I get the large vanilla and chocolate swirl that is nine swirls and absolutely deeeeeeeelicious!! It is the most reasonable price for the size anywhere around. Fat free should be available in more places now that we know how harmful fat is in one's diet. Why don't they offer fat free at all ice cream places?

Their always mobbed when I drive by. How can a decent restaurant not make it there? Got to be one of the best locations in the lakes region for a business. The lot alone is a million dollar jewel.

I think you might have been on a bad day. I have been there a few times over the years. Never had anything I would call bad. But mostly mediocre. Ice cream was OK. No excuse for bad food though. Go back and get another meal. You paid for it. You should be able to eat it. You should have taken a picture to show the manager the next time you were in. I've done that before.
I like the Red Hill Dairy, easy in and easy out. Love the Kellerhaus, Sawyers in Gilford, and well, heck....Basically any place with ice cream is good for me..... Have to try that new Shaved ice place in Paugaus Bay now.... |
