OK, this is more of a car maintenance question, but...
Does anyone have a suggestion for getting the sap off a car? After a week at the lake parked under the pine trees, my car was covered with sap. I have used dry gas to get it off, which someone had suggested and it works, but I don't think it does wonders for the finish on my car! Thanks. |

Put an ice cube on it to harden it up. It should come off in one chunk leaving a small residue behind. Clean this with alcohol. Don’t forget to reapply wax.
I love people who park under trees when they can, many don’t realize that even oak and maple tree’s produce sap which is just as harmful to a cars finish as pine sap is. |

I have used everything. Turpentine WORKS best. Turpentine is made from pine sap so turpentine will disolve pine sap. It will not harm the paint.

The very BEST way to get sap off of anything is good old wesson oil, olive oil, etc. Works like a charm!!!

Another for ISO alcohol,, I've done it, and it works well. WASH the area first with car soap.. Otherwise you will be grinding dirt into the clear coat...And you will regret it..
